Debra L Downing

Debra Lorene Downing was born on April 28, 1958, in Bartow, Florida, to Willie Anglin and Eddie Mae Anglin. On October 16, 2026, Debra peacefully completed her earthly journey, leaving behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and a family forever changed by her presence.

Debra was a loving and caring woman, inside and out. Full of life, vibrant in spirit, and generous with her heart, she had a way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. As a self-employed childcare provider, she devoted part of her life’s work to caring for children. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own family to the children and families entrusted to her care.

At the center of Debra’s world was family. She shared a beautiful and enduring love with her husband, Eugene Downing, Sr.—a love visible in the simplest moments, in the way he looked at her and the life they built together.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Debra brought a vibrant presence to family gatherings, weddings, and everyday moments. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Eugene Downing, Sr.; her children, Eugene Downing, Jr., Monica L. Downing, John M. Downing, Bryan L. Downing, and Eugenia L. Downing; her beloved sons-in-law and daughters-in-law; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; her brothers and sisters, Janice, Linda, Betty, Catherine, Willie Jr., Lee Curtis, Lorenzo, Jonathan, and Edward; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many extended family members and friends.

Her smile, compassion, and love live on in those whose lives she touched. She was deeply loved, will be deeply missed, and will never be forgotten.
